Messy. Tired. Unready. Still showing up.
This isn’t another shiny self-help book promising balance. It’s dust on the floor, laundry piling up, horses neighing, kids yelling—and doing it anyway.
In Show Up Anyway: The Dust, Laundry & Determination Edition, Amy Hodges (-3H Equine) shares the truth about juggling motherhood, FIFO (fly in fly out) life, horses, and building a small business from the kitchen table. From forgetting the school clothes in the dryer to turning “I couldn’t tie a knot” into a cord-braiding business, this book is a gritty reminder that you don’t need to feel ready to begin—you just need to show up.
💡 Inside you’ll find:
-
8 punchy chapters with real stories (no fluff)
-
A clear lesson at the end of each chapter
-
Reflection challenges so you actually take action
-
Foreword + closing note in Amy’s voice
✨ Perfect for:
-
Western mums, FIFO partners, and women juggling family + hustle
-
Anyone who feels like they’re “dropping all the hats”
-
Readers who want truth over polished highlight reels
📖 Format: Instant digital download (PDF). Reads on phone, tablet, or laptop.

Thank you for this, I really made me realize that I’m not the only one out there struggling some days and that there are ways through it
I purchased the book Amy has written and was very surprised by how it made me think of the pressures I put on myself to have everything in my life perfect.
Thank you, Amy, for giving me the courage to allow things on some days to slide. Also, not to feel guilty for it and putting my own needs first is ok to do.
I am sure every reader will find some part of your story that they can also relate to.
This book is for all the mums who feel like they're doing everything and achieving nothing. This book will make you feel seen. More than that, it will give you a guide on how to be kind to yourself while doing it all. It made me feel like I could jump feet first and reminded me that dropping the ball sometimes isn't failure, it's a sympton of being all things at once and its ok as long as you keep going.
It made me ask myself questions. It is definitely a book that I will read again. It made me feel that I don't have to be perfect that I am fine just the way I am (messy, tired, unsure). Thank you for sharing your book.
I really enjoyed it! It was great to read and I think it will definitely give people the motivation or courage to keep going. I just wish it was longer because I loved reading it.
